Experts' Advice: How to Potty Train Your Toddler

I’m proud to be quoted in this article on Porch.com on potty training your toddler. There’s lots of good advice here, but I especially like Tanya Thibodeau’s advice to make things playful and to use children’s toys to model the correct use of the potty for the child. You can use the toy to say, “Bear and ducky like using the potty. When you are ready, you may use the potty, too.” In this way you are introducing the concept of using the potty and allowing the child permission to use it without putting any pressure on the child to do so.
